This role is focused on the integration, configuration, modification, and optimization of UAV platforms for mission-specific applications.<\/p>\n<p>The ideal candidate is a hands-on systems engineer with strong experience in UAV architecture, flight controllers, avionics integration, companion computers, and system-level debugging. This role is centered on making complete UAV platforms function reliably as integrated systems across flight control, onboard computing, communications, sensors, and payloads.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Skills &amp; Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Aerospace Engineering, Robotics, or a related technical discipline<\/li>\n<li>Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in UAV systems integration, avionics, or unmanned systems engineering<\/li>\n<li>Strong understanding of complete UAV architecture, including propulsion, avionics, sensors, communications, onboard computing, payloads, and power systems<\/li>\n<li>Experience configuring, modifying, and optimizing flight controllers for fixed-wing, multirotor, and VTOL UAV platforms<\/li>\n<li>Strong working knowledge of autopilot ecosystems including ArduPilot, PX4, Mission Planner, QGroundControl, and MAVLink<\/li>\n<li>Experience integrating companion computers and onboard processing systems such as NVIDIA Jetson, Raspberry Pi, or similar embedded platforms<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with embedded interfaces and communication protocols including UART, CAN, I2C, SPI, Ethernet, and PWM<\/li>\n<li>Hands-on experience integrating UAV subsystems including ESCs, motors, servos, GNSS, telemetry radios, RC links, power modules, and onboard sensors<\/li>\n<li>Strong understanding of system-level electrical architecture, signal flow, and power distribution<\/li>\n<li>Experience with sensor integration and calibration including IMUs, GNSS, magnetometers, barometers, airspeed sensors, and mission payload sensors<\/li>\n<li>Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills across hardware, software, communications, and integration layers<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with firmware configuration, system tuning, log analysis, and flight performance optimization<\/li>\n<li>Strong technical documentation and reporting skills<\/li>\n<li>Willingness to travel within Greece on short notice<\/li>\n<li>Valid driver\u2019s license<\/li>\n<li>EASA A1\/A2\/A3 Certificate will be considered an advantage<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Configure, modify, and optimize UAV platforms for mission-specific operational requirements<\/li>\n<li>Integrate and tune flight controllers for fixed-wing, multirotor, and VTOL UAV systems<\/li>\n<li>Configure and support autopilot ecosystems including ArduPilot, PX4, MAVLink, and associated ground control tools<\/li>\n<li>Integrate companion computers such as Jetson and similar embedded processing platforms for onboard autonomy, payload control, and mission execution<\/li>\n<li>Integrate avionics, sensors, telemetry, payloads, and onboard subsystems into complete operational UAV platforms<\/li>\n<li>Develop and adapt system architectures including power distribution, interfaces, signal routing, and subsystem communications<\/li>\n<li>Support sensor integration, calibration, validation, and system tuning<\/li>\n<li>Troubleshoot system-level issues across avionics, embedded systems, flight control, payloads, and communications<\/li>\n<li>Support flight testing, validation, log review, system tuning, and technical iteration<\/li>\n<li>Maintain detailed technical documentation including configurations, modifications, test results, and system baselines<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with software, hardware, and flight operations teams to ensure mission readiness and platform reliability<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What We Offer<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Full-time position<\/li>\n<li>Competitive salary<\/li>\n<li>Health insurance<\/li>\n<li>Hands-on involvement in advanced UAV systems and next-generation autonomous platforms<\/li>\n<li>Opportunity to work in an innovative and expanding unmanned systems department<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Applications will be treated with strict confidentiality.<\/p>\n<p><em>Applications will be treated with strict confidentiality<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Please send your CV to <a href=\"mailto:alvo@alvo.gr\">alvo@alvo.gr<\/a> with the subject UAV Systems Engineer.<\/p>\n<p>ALVO is an equal opportunity employer.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":891,"template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"_et_pb_use_builder":"","_et_pb_old_content":"","_et_gb_content_width":""},"class_list":["post-1171","job","type-job","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry"],"acf":[],"jetpack_sharing_enabled":true,"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/alvo.gr\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/job\/1171","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/alvo.gr\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/job"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/alvo.gr\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/job"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/alvo.gr\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/891"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/alvo.gr\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=1171"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
