Computer Vision Engineer

We are seeking a Computer Vision Engineer to join our growing unmanned systems team and support the development of perception capabilities for next-generation autonomous platforms.

This role is ideal for an engineer with strong computer vision fundamentals, practical software skills, and hands-on experience building real-world vision pipelines. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working on object detection, tracking, image and video processing, and deploying vision models on embedded platforms for real operational use.

This is a hands-on engineering role focused on perception and real-world deployment, suited to someone who can help build and improve onboard vision capabilities that support autonomous system behavior.

Key Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in computer vision, applied AI, robotics, or related software engineering roles
  • Strong software engineering skills in Python
  • Practical experience with computer vision pipelines including object detection, tracking, classification, segmentation, and image processing
  • Experience with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow
  • Experience working with image and video data pipelines in real-world environments
  • Experience deploying AI / vision workloads on embedded or edge compute platforms such as NVIDIA Jetson
  • Familiarity with Linux-based development environments
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills in practical engineering environments
  • Strong technical documentation and reporting skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with robotics or autonomous systems
  • Familiarity with ROS / ROS2
  • Experience optimizing models for real-time inference
  • Familiarity with embedded AI or edge deployment
  • Exposure to visual tracking, sensor fusion, or onboard perception systems
  • Exposure to navigation, localization, or autonomy-related systems
  • Familiarity with UAVs, unmanned systems, or robotics platforms

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and improve computer vision capabilities for autonomous and unmanned systems
  • Build vision pipelines for object detection, tracking, classification, segmentation, and scene understanding
  • Develop and optimize AI models for real-time image and video inference
  • Deploy and support computer vision software on embedded platforms such as NVIDIA Jetson
  • Integrate cameras and perception pipelines into operational systems
  • Troubleshoot and improve perception performance in real-world conditions
  • Support testing, validation, and performance tuning in lab and field environments
  • Collaborate with software and systems teams on integration and deployment
  • Contribute to technical documentation, testing procedures, and validation workflows
